"I'm sorry," he said softly. "I have to leave." She collapsed to her knees, crying helplessly as she watched him disappear into the distance. "Please... don't leave me alone..." But he never turned back. The night fell into silence. Only the sound of her broken sobs remained. She slowly closed her eyes. When she opened them again... Time had turned back one year. Today was Juliet's thirteenth birthday. To celebrate, her father invited the entire family to a grand banquet. Father: "Juliet, are you still single?" Juliet: "Yes, Father." Father: "Why are you still single?" Juliet: "Because you've been busy, Father. Besides, I haven't met anyone I truly want to spend my life with." Father: "You're already thirteen. Aren't you worried about your future marriage?" Juliet: "No, Father. There's no need to worry. I'm only thirteen." Father: "Do you know what people call someone who has never been in love? They call them single since birth." His words made Juliet feel upset. She quietly left the banquet and walked into the garden. "Does turning thirteen really mean I'm already an older girl?" she wondered. She felt as if everyone's attitude toward her had suddenly changed. The voices around her seemed to repeat: "Is Juliet still single because nobody wants her?" Their words hurt her deeply. But slowly, Juliet began to think... "Maybe being single isn't so bad after all." "Perhaps staying alone and never falling in love is perfectly fine." Just then, she noticed a small stone lying on the ground. Suddenly, a young man appeared in front of her. "Remember my name," he said with a gentle smile. "I'm Romeo." He gently wiped away Juliet's tears. Before she could say anything, he turned around and quietly walked away. Later, her father called her over. Father: "Juliet, have you been secretly meeting someone?" Juliet: "No, Father. I was only talking with the steward for a few minutes." After her father left, Juliet hurried back to the garden. She ran toward the dew-covered stone steps and collapsed there. Unable to hold back her emotions any longer, she cried uncontrollably.
