Eventually, you exhaust all your energy trying to keep someone else afloat, completely forgetting to invest in your own growth. 3. Staying in the Wrong Place Blocks the Right Opportunities When your heart, energy, and time are consumed by someone who doesn't appreciate you, you miss out on meeting someone who will: Love you genuinely.
