Quality wee spot for a bite to eat when in Glasgow city centre. Whenever I am in the office and I opt to have lunch out, akiko_restaurants is always my first choice, and loads of my colleagues love it as well! It's popular for a reason and always very busy at lunch time, but nonetheless the service is quick and always friendly!
I am always between their chicken katsu or a poke bowl, and last week I went for a tuna poke bowl. They have an excellent selection for building your poke bowl
- you choose your base between rice or leaves, then choose your protein (tuna, salmon, chicken katsu or vegan options) and then you pick 5 toppings and 2 garnishes. All ingredients are really fresh and for £8.50 is really filling!
We sat in for a change and there was plenty of space, neat and clean.
Overall, a quick, tasty, and healthy place to eat out highly recommend to check it out!

01.01.2024 breakfast
hameediyah restaurant ~ Campbell street, Penang. Chicken murtabak, biryani with mutton (did not take pictures of the mutton 🤣)
2nd round breakfast at Toh Soon Coffee ~ just next few door from the above restaurant.
Mini nasi lemak, toast + eggs, steamed bread and tada!, almond+coffee.
*not the almond milk from bottle/box. this is from almond powder (famous in Penang).
