Finally chanced upon a bakery in the far west that I genuinely enjoy 🥹 The bakes here are really soft, fragrant and not overly sweet. Definitely something I would come back for again and again. We also tried the fried Hokkien mee and fried oyster at Boon Lay Place Market but they were quite mediocre for me. Not something I would order again.
Overall, I would still return for the bakery items. The 大姐 tending the shop was really friendly she let us try the sample for the matcha chocolate muffin plus she even left the shop’s WhatsApp number in case we want to enquire about the cherry coconut tart.

Tried HOT TOMATO today and it was a struggle 😭The Salmon was overcooked, prawns dry and hard and the beef was so chewy and hard to swallow because of all the sinew… felt like everything was overcooked. Really wanted to like it but everything was either too overcooked, dry or acidic so it’s a NO.

Watched this series with sticky on Netflix and I am honestly very inspired by Madam C. J. Walker. 🩵From humble beginnings, she built not just success but a legacy that uplifted others. It is a beautiful reminder that passion, resilience, purpose and faith can carry you so far🌷

What a peculiar doctor I met tonight… I wasn’t feeling well and didn’t really express myself as much as I wanted to but he still gave me some really sound advice and was quite amusing throughout the lengthy consultation. He actually bothered to ask me questions about my life too which I didn’t expect but I guess sometimes it’s the most unexpected encounters that stay with you.
He even wrote this down for me:
ME TIME
Walk: 30 mins
Mindfulness meditation: 10 mins
Talk : girlfriend / journal / counsellor
And one of the things he told me that stayed with me is there are things in life we simply have no control over. Simple yet very grounding at this juncture in my life. I think I needed this too. I can’t help but feel like God uses people to reach me… because I have kind of been hearing the same message again and again.
